What is the Netflix series Secrets We Keep about?
The story revolves around Ruby, a young Filipina who works as an au pair in an exclusive area north of Copenhagen, Denmark. When she goes missing, her case doesn’t receive much attention from the police, who handle the situation with apathy. However, not everyone is willing to ignore her disappearance.
Cecilie, a neighbor of the host family, begins to suspect something is wrong. Her own au pair, Angel, starts investigating among other foreign workers in the area, gathering disturbing accounts. What they uncover goes beyond a simple disappearance: there’s a web of dark secrets connecting many of them.

Will there be a season 2 of Secrets We Keep?
So far, Netflix has not announced whether or not there will be a second season; however, it’s very unlikely, as the production was introduced as a miniseries. Additionally, the creator, Ingeborg Topsøe, stated that the story was designed to be told in just six parts, all of which were released in this season, and the final episode did not leave any loose ends, making a continuation practically impossible.
But hey! Hope is the last thing to die. Keep in mind that if a series becomes unexpectedly successful, Netflix may consider expanding the story with a new season or a spin-off (even if it’s a miniseries).
