Do you have a Prime Video membership? Then this information is for you — Amazon is changing its rules for account sharing. If you currently share your account with family or friends, here’s what’s changing and when the new policy will take effect.
Will Amazon Prime Video no longer allow account sharing?
Until now, through Prime Invitee, members could share their account with anyone, regardless of whether they lived in the same household. However, Amazon has now announced that this program will soon come to an end. As a result, invited users will lose access and will no longer be able to use the shared account.

The History of Amazon
Amazon’s story dates back to 1994, when it was founded in Seattle, United States, by Jeff Bezos. His vision was bold and clear: to harness the rise of the Internet to radically transform the way people shop.
What began as a modest online bookstore was focused from the start on delivering an excellent customer experience and ensuring fast deliveries. This dedication to efficiency and user satisfaction played a key role in Amazon’s early success and paved the way for its expansion into other product categories.
Over time, Amazon adopted an aggressive diversification strategy, adding a wide variety of products including technology, fashion, home goods, and groceries. This growth enabled the company to attract an increasingly broad customer base and establish itself as the undisputed leader in global e-commerce.
