Stranger Things 5 is just around the corner, and everyone wants to know how the story of Eleven and her friends will end, and whether Vecna will finally be defeated. Netflix continues to reveal more details about the upcoming season of the series, and there are hints about a new villain that could haunt the residents of Hawkins. But who could it be? Here’s everything we know so far.

Who will be the new villain in Stranger Things 5?

In the first episode of the fourth season of the Netflix series, it’s revealed that Will has developed a new passion: drawing. Since moving to Lenora with Joyce and Eleven, Will has been creating illustrations that might be filled with hidden meaning.

According to several fan theories, his drawings are connected to his experiences in the Upside Down and might even foreshadow the next major villain in the fifth season. This idea isn’t far-fetched, considering Will once drew the Mind Flayer before it actually appeared in the series.

One of his most striking illustrations from the past season shows a three-headed dragon battling his group of friends dressed in medieval armor, clearly referencing Dungeons & Dragons, the game they all love. Interestingly, the creature resembles Tiamat, the queen of evil dragons in the game, although she traditionally has five heads. If history repeats itself, Will’s drawing could be a warning: Hawkins might be facing a new threat as dangerous as the Mind Flayer.

Who is Tiamat in Stranger Things?

Tiamat is the ancient enemy of her brother Bahamut, the leader of the metallic dragons. Beyond their rivalry, she is known for her deep hatred of mortals. This fearsome creature has five heads, each a different color — red, green, blue, black, and white — representing the various species of chromatic dragons. Every head has its own unique abilities, making her a formidable threat. As if that weren’t enough, her tail ends in a venomous stinger, adding another deadly weapon to her already fearsome arsenal.
