The wait is finally over! The second part of Wednesday Season 2 is now available on Netflix, and as expected, it turned out to be even more shocking and intriguing than the first. If you’ve already watched the latest episodes of this season, you’ve likely had several of the unanswered questions resolved—like the mystery woman that Wednesday saves at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Center. If you haven’t seen it yet and want to know more, we’ll explain everything here.
Who Is Patient 1939 in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?
After her appearance in the first part of Season 2, fans quickly began developing theories about who this woman is and what connection she might have with Wednesday Addams. One theory suggests she could be Ophelia, Morticia’s long-lost sister, who also has psychic powers.

Other fans dug even deeper. Some of the most meticulous viewers discovered a clue in the first season of the series, in Morticia’s yearbook, which includes a photo of Tyler Galpin’s mother, the Hyde. Both women look strikingly similar, so it was possible they were the same person. But who is she really?
(Spoiler alert!) In one scene, the woman comes face to face with Morticia, who is shocked to see her, since she was believed to be dead. She is none other than Tyler’s mother: her name is Francoise Sylvanne, and she was declared dead years ago—even a funeral was held.
The truth is, she was kidnapped by Augustus Stonehearst, the scientist who created the Longterm Outcast Integration Study (LOIS) to extract powers from the outcasts of Jericho and transfer them to normies (normal people). Francoise was part of this experiment and was registered as Patient 1939. Augustus’s interest wasn’t random—Tyler’s mother was also a Hyde, and he wanted to experiment on her.
Who Is the Villain in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?
In the first episode of Part 2, Judi, played by Heather Matarazzo, returns. She was responsible for the murders in Part 1. Many expected her to be the villain again, especially since she managed to stay on as the acting director of Willow Hill and began plotting her next move while Wednesday was in a coma. However, she was soon killed.

As the episodes progress, a darker mind is revealed—someone plotting to take over Nevermore Academy and also seize the fortune of Hester Frump, Wednesday’s grandmother and Morticia’s mother. This person is willing to kill anyone who gets in their way.
The culprit is the new headmaster of Nevermore, Barry Dort. This wasn’t a huge surprise, as Larissa Weems’s replacement showed strange behavior from the moment he appeared in the series. In the end, Dort was literally torn to pieces. Wednesday and the outcasts exposed him, and as he tried to escape, Ajax turned him to stone—he died after shattering under a falling chandelier (we love a happy ending).
