What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Since its launch in the early 1960s, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale began as a summer event and has grown to become the store’s most important sale of the year. With over 100 participating brands and more than 1,400 events, this sale has become a major industry milestone, known for offering early discounts on brand-new seasonal releases. Thanks to collaborations with top brands, customers get the chance to save and refresh their wardrobes before fall.

This year, Nordstrom presents the Big Anniversary Deals, with discounts of up to 50% on a curated selection of products. Popular brands like Vince, Rothy’s, Rails, Free People, Sperry, and many more will be available at exclusive prices, giving shoppers the chance to score their favorite items like never before.
When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The event will take place from July 12 to August 3. If you want early access to the deals, you’ll need to register for a Nordstrom Card and join The Nordy Club, the store’s loyalty program. Early access depends on your membership level:
- Early access for Icon members: July 8
- Early access for Ambassador members: July 9
- Early access for Influencer members: July 10

Nordstrom’s History
Founded as a shoe store in 1901 by Swedish immigrant John W. Nordstrom (JWN), who arrived in Seattle with $5 in his pocket, the company went public in 1971 and was officially renamed ‘Nordstrom, Inc.’
In 1973, the first Nordstrom Rack opened in the basement of the Seattle store as a clearance center for merchandise from the full-line store. Today, it is a leading fashion retailer specializing in clothing, footwear, and accessories for men, women, and children.
Additionally, it has over 200 restaurants, including specialty cafés, grills, and Habitant bars, and offers more than 10 brands, all designed by an in-house design team.
