What is The Sandman season 2 about?
After facing major threats to his realm and the real world, Dream managed to restore balance by eliminating two powerful enemies: the rogue Corinthian and the unstable Dream Vortex. However, his actions did not go unnoticed. Deep within Hell, Lucifer and Mazikeen have not forgotten the humiliation they endured and are silently plotting revenge.
The season finale also brought a more intimate and painful twist: Dream reunited with Calliope, his former lover, whom he helped despite their past wounds, reliving the tragedy of their lost son Orpheus.
The new season picks up shortly after. Back in the Dreaming, Dream works tirelessly to rebuild what was destroyed. Though he tries to leave his past mistakes behind, the shadows of yesterday begin to take shape once again, reminding him that the past never truly disappears.
