Stop everything! Netflix has just confirmed the third season of Wednesday, which means fans of the story still have much more to see about the Addams family’s eldest daughter. The news comes just weeks before the premiere of season 2, which was a pleasant surprise for all followers of the series. Now, the big question is: what will it be about and when will it be released? Here’s everything we know about Wednesday Season 3.
When will Wednesday Season 3 premiere on Netflix?
Netflix shared the news of the third season through a promotional image featuring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams. In front of her, Thing holds a crystal ball showing the number 3 inside.

“Bad things come in threes,” reads the image. However, no release date was revealed. Some international outlets claim that filming for season 3 began at the end of last year, so based on production timelines, the new season could arrive on the streaming platform sometime in 2026 or early 2027.

What new mysteries will she have to solve? We’ll see what Netflix reveals next.

What is Wednesday Season 2 about?
In this new season, the story dives deeper into Wednesday’s personal relationships, especially with her mother and her inseparable friend Enid. According to co-creator Miles Millar, the protagonist will face complicated relationships that test her ability to trust others. Even though Wednesday believes she’s in control, she soon discovers that human emotions are far more complex than she thought.
Over the summer, Wednesday trained her psychic powers using Goody Addams’ Spellbook, but something goes wrong: her visions begin to fail, and she cries black tears. Can she still trust what she sees? Romance has taken a back seat, and horror is ready to take over Nevermore Academy.
