What will The Gardener season 2 be about?
The second season of the series would address the questions left unanswered at the end of season 1. As the series nears its conclusion, Elmer finds himself in a real conflict: he must choose between keeping his emotions or fighting to survive. A brain tumor has returned (and intensified) his emotions, especially the love he feels for Violeta. However, his mother, La China Jurado, insists he undergo treatment and surgery to remove the tumor in hopes of saving his life.
Removing the tumor would mean Elmer once again loses his emotions, so determined to live out his romance with Violeta, he defies his mother’s wishes. But she is willing to separate her son from the young woman at all costs and seeks to kill her to fulfill the mission of Sabela Costeira, who blames Violeta for her son’s death.
Contrary to expectations, Elmer decides to kill Sabela, but Violeta learns about all his plans. Meanwhile, La China Jurado orders a hitman to eliminate her son’s girlfriend, but the young woman manages to fight off the assassin when he tries to kill her.
Upon discovering his mother’s intentions toward Violeta, Elmer decides to confront her, but she knocks him out. When he wakes up in the hospital, Elmer realizes he was operated on against his will and now feels no emotion, though all his memories (including his relationship with Violeta) remain intact.
Despite not forgiving his mother, the two go on living a seemingly normal life at the nursery… until Violeta makes an unexpected appearance and surprises Elmer with a shocking request: to help her “make someone disappear.” But who does Violeta want gone? Will Elmer help her with this dark plan? The second season could pick up right there.

The Spanish series follows the story of Elmer, a man who works in a nursery run by his domineering mother. Since childhood, after a car accident, he lost the ability to experience emotions, making him unshakable in the face of his mother’s demands, La China Jurado. She, however, uses the nursery as a front for a lucrative hitman business, where Elmer’s emotional detachment proves to be the perfect tool.
