Walmart Offers for National Pet Month
From fresh food and durable toys to cozy beds and tasty treats, Walmart has everything pet lovers need—with the convenience of choosing how and where to shop. Through the Walmart app, users can enjoy quick and easy services like in-store pickup, home delivery, and subscription options to cover all their furry friends’ needs.
Throughout May, shoppers will find thousands of promotions on essential pet care products, with special discounts on well-known brands such as:

Walmart continues to expand its pet product lineup, adding a growing variety of popular and trending items. Customers can discover Beautiful by Drew Pets, an exclusive line of pet accessories that includes thoughtfully designed and stylish bowls, beds, and water dispensers. Additionally, innovative brands like Petlibro and Litter Robot join the catalog with advanced technological solutions for pet feeding and hygiene.
Another highlight is the relaunch of Ol’ Roy, Walmart’s well-known private label brand, now featuring a new vet-developed formula free of artificial colors and flavors, packaged in recyclable material—all while maintaining its great value.
Walmart to Host Pet Adoption Events
In May, Walmart—partnering with Blue Buffalo and Best Friends Animal Society—is launching a special initiative to help families grow with new furry members and support shelters across the United States.
For every purchase of select Blue Buffalo pet food or treats at Walmart during the month, Blue Buffalo will donate funds to Best Friends Animal Society, up to a total of $550,000. These donations will help cover adoption fees at Best Friends centers across the country, including:
- Houston
- Los Angeles
- Northwest Arkansas
- New York City
- Salt Lake City
- Best Friends Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah
Additionally, on May 17, Walmart and Best Friends will host free adoption events at select Walmart stores. Attendees can meet and adopt their new pet at no cost, thanks to the support of Walmart and Blue Buffalo. The events will also include giveaways, product samples, and gift bags with essential pet care items. Adoption events will be held at the following Walmart stores:
