When will Walmart and Burger King give away free Whoppers?
According to the chains, the promotion will start on Tuesday, August 5, and end on Monday, August 11.
How to get a free Whopper at Walmart and Burger King?
The promotion is only valid for Walmart+ and Royal Perks members, so if you’re not yet part of these programs, there’s still time to sign up. To redeem the offer, you must link your Walmart+ and Royal Perks accounts. Follow these steps:
- Make sure you have both apps downloaded on your device
- Log in to Walmart+
- Go to Account
- Select Walmart+ Membership
- Find the Burger King Savings benefit and tap Start
- The Royal Perks app will open automatically. When it does, click Link Accounts

Once your accounts are linked, you can redeem the offer by making a $1 purchase in-store, on the app, or online. This promotion is limited to one free Whopper per account per day, is not valid for delivery orders, and is not available during breakfast hours.

A Walmart+ membership helps you save time and money when shopping at Walmart stores. It also includes the following benefits:
- Free express delivery for essential everyday items and more in just 1 hour.
- 50¢ off every gallon of fuel at participating Exxon and Mobil stations nationwide, helping members save on fuel costs.

What is Royal Perks?
Royal Perks is Burger King’s loyalty program, where members can earn crowns and redeem them for rewards. As a Royal Perks member, you’ll earn points called “Crowns” for every $1.00 USD spent on eligible transactions at participating Burger King restaurants in the United States, which you can redeem for select menu items.
Additionally, members earn double Crowns on all eligible transactions during their birthday month. Additional benefits include access to promotions and exclusive offers, a free daily upgrade on an order of fries, fountain drinks, potato croquettes, or coffee, and the opportunity to earn extra Crowns through challenges and special events.
