Gaga plays Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher from the Nevermore Academy who taught in the 1960s. In the current time of the series, she is already dead, but her grave hides a powerful spell.

What role does Lady Gaga’s character play in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2?
While many expected her to appear early on, she doesn’t show up until episode 6, which is the second episode of part 2. As mentioned, her screen time is short, but what Rotwood does is enough to drive Wednesday mad and shift the direction of the plot. Here’s how.
(Spoiler alert!) Do you remember when Wednesday had a vision where Enid Sinclair dies? To prevent that, young Addams seeks to regain her psychic power to have visions and find out where the Hyde is hiding. For that, she seeks help from her grandmother Hester Frump, who advises her to visit the grave of Rosaline Rotwood, a powerful Raven with dark psychic abilities who, even in death, is able to temporarily return Wednesday’s visions.
Desperate to help Enid, Wednesday visits Rotwood’s grave. There, a Latin epitaph warns about the dangers of breaking the spell. Despite the warning, she goes through with it and manages to contact Rosaline’s spirit.
Rotwood warns her that if the ritual is broken, there will be a price to pay. Wednesday chooses to proceed, but everything goes wrong. Suddenly, Enid bursts into the cemetery and distracts Wednesday, breaking the ritual and resulting in a catastrophe: the two switch bodies.

Can you imagine Wednesday with colorful clothes and makeup, and Enid with a colder-than-ice expression? Neither wanted to stay in the other’s skin! Wednesday returns to Rosaline, who tells her that in order to get their bodies back, both must uncover the deepest secrets of the lives they’ve swapped into. The spirit then disappears, marking the end of Lady Gaga’s role.
The professor’s name continues to echo in the story, and after following her advice, Wednesday and Enid finally open up and manage to return to their original selves. Larissa Weems (the Nevermore principal killed in Season 1), now acting as Wednesday’s spirit guide, informs her that her vision of Enid’s death has changed. Enid won’t die, but now the victim will be a member of her family. The Addams daughter must now protect her parents and brother, though she can rely on her restored visions—thanks to Rosaline Rotwood’s spell.
Will Lady Gaga appear in Wednesday Season 3?
We’d love to be optimistic, but given how few scenes she had, it’s unlikely the pop icon will reprise her role in the series’ third season. Still, hope dies last! And in the Wednesday universe, anything is possible—so we’ll have to wait for updates.
When does Wednesday Season 3 come out on Netflix?
