What are Labubu figures?
Labubu are collectible art toys designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, in collaboration with the iconic brand Pop Mart. These charmingly mischievous characters have become sought-after items in the pop art and designer toy world.
As part of The Monsters series, Labubu figures come from a fantasy world filled with uniquely styled creatures, inspired by legends, fairy tales, and Norse mythology. Their distinctive look—featuring long ears, tiny fangs, and expressive faces—sets them apart in the world of designer toys.
Beyond their visual appeal, each figure carries a narrative backstory, adding emotional and artistic value. This blend of creative design and rich storytelling has helped make Labubu a phenomenon among collectors worldwide.
Why are Labubu figures so popular?
Labubu are trendy due to their unique design that combines cuteness and mischief. Their popularity also stems from limited-edition releases and the mystery of blind box formats, which create a sense of exclusivity. Social media has helped build a strong global fan community. The fantasy world behind the characters adds further appeal, making them beloved by both collectors and design lovers.
