What is the new 2025 Día de los Muertos Barbie from Mattel like?
The 2025 edition of the Día de Muertos Barbie was designed by Ari Sarinana and packaged by Charis Ceniseroz. The doll is intended as a visual tribute to the iconic elements of Día de Muertos, such as marigold flowers and sugar skulls, with a costume inspired by the traditional “Catrinas.”

Barbie wears a multi-layered dress with floral motifs—especially marigolds—along with a matching headpiece, striking jewelry, and meticulously detailed calavera-style makeup. Her face uses the “Lina” sculpt and her body is the “Gigi” type, both elements highly valued by Barbie Signature collectors.

This piece is priced at 1,800 Mexican pesos and includes a certificate of authenticity and a display stand. Although the doll cannot stand on its own, its packaging and detailed finishes make it a highly coveted collector’s item. It will be available exclusively from September 2 to September 3, 2025 for Fang Club or Barbie Club 59 members via MattelCreations.com, and later in select retailers.

Ken Día de Muertos 2025
Ken also joins the celebration with a special edition worthy of an altar. Dressed in a shirt embroidered with marigold flowers, a vest, and pants with golden accents, this doll features a traditional Mexican hat and skull-inspired makeup that reinforces the symbolism of Día de Muertos.
Like Barbie, he was designed by Ari Sarinana and packaged by Charis Ceniseroz. His face uses the “Cam” sculpt and his body type is Posable Movie Ken. The price is also 1,800 Mexican pesos, includes a certificate of authenticity, and follows the same purchase conditions and limited-time availability.

This version of Ken joins Mattel’s commemorative line for the second year in a row, reflecting the growing interest in seeing male representations that also respectfully celebrate Mexican traditions.

Monster High Skelita Calaveras Día de Muertos 2025
The long-awaited Skelita Calaveras Día de Muertos 2025 is undoubtedly one of the most important releases for Monster High fans. This special edition of the skeletal student features a black satin dress adorned with bursts of color representing her Aztec heritage. Her headdress—a central piece of the design—depicts Quetzalcóatl, the feathered serpent from Mesoamerican mythology.
In addition to the dress, she includes several pieces of jewelry and a decorative box that blends classic Día de Muertos elements with Monster High’s hauntingly elegant aesthetic. The doll stands 13 inches tall, has 11 points of articulation, and is priced at 1,350 Mexican pesos.

Skelita will also be available in limited quantities on MattelCreations.com exclusively from September 2 to 3, 2025, and only for Fang Club or Barbie Club 59 members, with limited distribution at selected retailers.
