The Passport to Italy collection includes three new donuts that capture the flavor of Italy’s most iconic desserts:
- Cannoli Inspired Doughnut – an unglazed ring doughnut half-dipped in chocolate icing and cookie crunch, dusted with powdered coating, and topped with a cannoli-flavored buttercreme dollop.
- Limone Delight Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with lemon delight-flavored Kreme, dipped in zesty lemon-flavored icing, and topped with candied lemon.
- Tiramisu Inspired Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with tiramisu-flavored Kreme, topped with sweet creme-flavored buttercreme, and dusted with cocoa.

It’s available now! You can grab your limited-edition donuts at participating stores across the United States. The Passport to Italy collection is available in-store and for pickup or delivery through the app and website, whether you prefer them individually or by the dozen.

History of Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme’s history began in the 1930s. According to legend, Vernon Rudolph, the founder of this famous doughnut brand, won the secret recipe for making yeast doughnuts in a poker game against a French chef in New Orleans.
He then rented a space in Old Salem, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he started selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts wholesale to supermarkets. However, the irresistible aroma of freshly baked doughnuts began to fill the streets, attracting passersby who eagerly asked if they could buy hot and fresh doughnuts.
Vernon seized the opportunity and decided to open a small hole in the wall of his building to sell directly to customers. Although Vernon passed away in 1976, his beloved Krispy Kreme brand lives on today.
In 2001, Krispy Kreme opened its first international store in Canada, near Toronto, a huge success that fueled its global expansion. By 2012, the brand had 500 stores outside the United States, and today it has over 1,400 locations in more than 33 countries.
