To shop at Costco, you need a membership. However, non-members can purchase prescription medications and make purchases using a Costco gift card.
How many people can enter Costco with a membership card?
According to membership and card use policies, the company allows each member to enter the store accompanied by up to two guests during their shopping visits.
What is Costco’s membership renewal policy?
The primary member must authorize the renewal and any changes to their information, including adding or removing additional cards, and is solely responsible for the actions of additional members.
Each year, the primary member will receive a renewal notice by email at the provided address. To keep the membership active, the renewal fee must be paid by the day before the membership expiration date. Through the website, members can choose to automatically renew their membership each year on the expiration date.
If renewal is not completed before the membership expiration date, the membership will automatically expire, and neither the primary member nor additional members will be able to make purchases. If the membership is renewed before the expiration date, the new membership will begin on the original expiration date.
An inactive member can renew their membership up to 12 months after the expiration date. The new membership will be valid for 12 months from the renewal date. After 12 months of inactivity, the membership will need to be reactivated, and the new membership will be valid for 12 months from the reactivation date.
