Darren Star, the series creator, revealed that this new season will be a story of two cities: Rome and Paris. The plot will focus on Emily’s relationship with Marcello, whose romantic connection continues to grow as the episodes progress.
Meanwhile, Gabriel, Emily’s on-and-off boyfriend, isn’t standing still and is ready to fight for her love; however, he must face the consequences of ending their relationship in the previous season, making his path to winning her back far from easy.

What happened in Emily in Paris Season 4?
Emily enjoys Rome with Marcello, while Genevieve moves into Camille’s apartment and hosts a party where she kisses Gabriel, creating tension. Emily and Marcello also share a romantic moment after visiting the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
The magic is interrupted when Sylvie unexpectedly shows up and requests a meeting with Marcello to present Agence Grateau’s proposals. Marcello gets upset, thinking it’s a trick by Emily, but she manages to clarify the situation and reconcile with him; however, when discussing JVMA, Marcello’s mother, Antonia, intervenes and schedules a meeting to evaluate the project. After negotiating with Sylvie, Antonia gives them six months to prove their worth. Marcello tries to stay distant but ultimately commits to his romance with Emily.
Meanwhile, Gabriel celebrates his Michelin star and clears the air with Genevieve, who agrees to keep her distance. Sylvie asks Emily to stay in Rome to oversee the new Agence Grateau office. Finally, during the restaurant’s success celebration, Gabriel receives advice from Alfie and decides to travel to Rome in search of Emily, leaving the story on a cliffhanger.
