By the time you read these lines, I will have crossed over to that place where pain no longer exists, where I can rest peacefully, and most importantly, where I will be reunited with my beautiful mother. Thank you once again to everyone for so much love, good energy, and rock and roll. I bid you farewell with much love.”

Who was Xava Drago, vocalist of Coda?
Born in Mexico City, Xava Drago discovered his passion for music at an early age. By 17, he was already playing in bands like Ultimátum and Megatón, projects that marked the beginning of a career that would soon gain recognition in the national rock scene.
In 1989, he teamed up with guitarist Toño Ruiz to form Coda, a band that became one of the pillars of Mexican rock in the 1990s. With this group, Drago made his mark through iconic albums such as Enciéndelo (1992) and Veinte para las doce (1995). Songs like “Aún”, “Tócame”, and “Eternamente” became anthems that continue to resonate with multiple generations.
His artistic curiosity also led him to explore a solo career with the album Quinto Sol, where he expressed his commitment to Latin identity and cultural strength. His talent and charisma allowed him to share the stage with international figures such as Sammy Hagar and Chad Smith, drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Before his passing, Drago recorded two unreleased songs that will be released soon, adding to a legacy that keeps his voice alive in the history of rock.
