If you have a Disney Plus subscription, you’ve probably noticed that some series planned for multiple seasons have not returned to the catalog. Unfortunately, the streaming platform has canceled several shows, meaning some won’t get a proper ending. Here we tell you which ones, so you can check if your favorite series is among them.
Disney Plus Canceled Shows
So far, these are the Disney Plus shows canceled in 2025:
- Tiana: In March 2025, Disney officially announced the cancellation of the animated series before it even aired. The company justified the decision citing high production costs and a shift in strategic priorities.
- Goosebumps: After two seasons, the platform chose not to continue with a third, despite the series having a strong start in viewership.

Besides these series, some productions are ending earlier than originally planned. Unlike the canceled ones, these will have a proper conclusion and won’t leave the story unfinished. The series ending early are:
- Andor: The Star Wars prequel will only reach its second season.
- Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Win or Lose, Primos: all will end in 2025, although no exact date has been given.
Why is Disney Plus canceling shows?
According to the company, rising production costs have made it increasingly difficult to sustain large animated productions economically. At the same time, Disney+ has shifted its focus, now prioritizing profitability over rapid subscriber growth.
This has led to a content reorganization, where shows that don’t meet performance expectations are removed to allocate resources for new productions. For subscribers, this strategy results in more frequent changes in the catalog and the unexpected disappearance of series.
