It just premiered last week, and Netflix users are already wondering if there will be a Sirens season 2, the dark comedy series that quickly rose to become one of the most-watched productions on the streaming platform. If you’re one of them, here’s everything we know so far.

Will there be a Sirens season 2 on Netflix?

So far, Netflix has not announced whether there will be a Sirens season 2; however, it’s very likely that it won’t happen, since the show is formatted as a miniseries, meaning the story was written to conclude in just a few episodes.

Although some miniseries have been so successful that Netflix decided to renew them for a sequel or a spin-off, in the case of Sirens, the story doesn’t leave an open ending in the final episode, making a second season unlikely.

When would Sirens season 2 premiere on Netflix?

If a second season is confirmed, it could arrive in 2027 or sometime in 2028, depending on filming and production timelines.

What is the Netflix series Sirens about?

Sirens takes place over the long Labor Day weekend and follows Devon as she visits an exclusive island filled with opulent mansions and hydrangea gardens, only to discover that the calm waters surrounding it hide disturbing secrets.

Worried about her sister Simone, Devon suspects that Simone’s relationship with her new boss, the mysterious and charismatic Michaela Kell, goes beyond professional. Michaela, a socialite whose life is steeped in luxury and who leads a sort of personal cult, has completely captivated Simone. Convinced she must intervene, Devon has no idea how intense the confrontation will be.

Throughout a tension-filled weekend at the lavish Kell beach house, Sirens becomes a provocative, seductive dark comedy about power, women’s relationships, and class divisions.

How many episodes does Sirens have?

The series has five episodes. All are now available on Netflix.

Sirens: Cast

The series stars Julianne Moore, who shares the screen with several other notable actors. Here’s the full cast:

  • Julianne Moore plays Michaela Kell, an influential figure in island high society known for her animal rights activism and philanthropic work. Married to mogul Peter Kell, Michaela maintains subtle but total control over her environment. Her closeness with her assistant Simone borders on disturbing, revealing an unsettling power dynamic.
  • Meghann Fahy plays Devon DeWitt, a woman who returns to her hometown during a personal crisis. Despite battling her own demons, Devon maintains a sharp sense of humor, fierce resilience, and a strong protective instinct toward her younger sister, Simone.
  • Milly Alcock is Simone DeWitt, Devon’s younger sister. With a mix of charm and wit, Simone has landed a coveted role as a personal assistant among the ultra-wealthy, though her new position puts her dangerously close to Michaela.
  • Kevin Bacon plays Peter Kell, heir to a vast fortune and a commanding presence. A nature lover and occasional cannabis user, Peter observes and controls more from the shadows than he lets on.
  • Glenn Howerton plays Ethan Corbin III, a neighbor and close friend of the Kells. A chronic bachelor and yacht club regular, Ethan is a charming man in decline, burning through his inheritance at an alarming rate.

  • Félix Solis as José, who appears to be just the estate’s gardener, but is actually the operations director of Cliff House. He manages security, surveillance systems, and acts as Peter Kell’s right hand with terrifying efficiency and discretion.
  • Bill Camp plays Bruce DeWitt, Devon and Simone’s father. A strong-willed ex-Marine diagnosed with early dementia, he struggles with the fear of becoming a burden to his daughters.
  • Josh Segarra as Raymond, Devon’s longtime ex-boyfriend and a proud manager of a restaurant chain in Buffalo. Charismatic but toxic, Raymond keeps showing up in Devon’s life when she least expects it.
  • Trevor Salter plays Jordan, Ethan’s handsome yacht captain. His rugged charm causes a stir among the high-society women who can’t resist his appeal.
  • Britne Oldford as Missy, a temporary housekeeper who hates her job almost as much as the commute from the mainland. Her indifferent attitude contrasts sharply with the luxury around her.
  • Lauren Weedman is Patrice, the Kells’ trusted chef for many years. Professional, no-nonsense, and grounded, she maintains order in the kitchen with a mix of discipline and experience.
  • Jenn Lyon, Erin Neufer, and Emily Borromeo play Cloe, Lisa, and Astrid, collectively known as “The Fates.” This inseparable trio dresses alike, speaks almost in unison, and worships Michaela with devotion. Cloe is the rebel, Lisa the fanatic, and Astrid the most innocent of the group.
