What is Captain America: Brave New World about?
Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie), formerly known as Falcon, has taken on the legacy of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) as the new Captain America. In this new chapter, his mission isn’t to face cosmic threats but something far more grounded and dangerous: a smuggling network of adamantium, an extremely powerful metal that appeared in an alien rock that emerged in the Indian Ocean during the events of Eternals.
After successfully completing an operation in Washington D.C., Wilson receives a direct request from the President of the United States, Thaddeus Ross (played by Harrison Ford): to once again assemble the Avengers. However, before he can respond, Ross is the victim of an assassination attempt he barely survives.
The attack was orchestrated by none other than the Hulk, who now seems driven by far darker motives. His goal is to sow chaos among the nations competing for control of adamantium and undermine the president’s credibility, with whom he shares a murky past.
In response to this crisis, Sam Wilson, along with Joaquín Torres (Danny Ramirez), his young ally and potential successor as Falcon, embark on a dangerous investigation. To protect the world and restore balance, they must face the government’s most tightly held secrets and uncover what really lies behind the growing conspiracy threatening global stability.
