It’s finally here! Season 2 of Wednesday premiered this Wednesday, August 6, on Netflix, and just as the creators promised, it returned darker than ever. If you’ve already seen the first four episodes of the series, you were likely hit with a few surprises, as the plot suddenly took an unexpected turn. If you’re left with questions, here’s everything you need to know.

Who is the killer in Wednesday Season 2?

Wednesday Addams returned to Nevermore Academy to face a new school year… and a new mystery involving a string of murders. Now, her task is to find the killer, because the next victim might be someone very close to her — and she must stop them before they strike again.

(Spoiler Alert!) It all begins with the death of two people, including Donovan Galpin, former police chief and father of Tyler, the Hyde from season 1. The strange part is that both were killed by a flock of crows. But who controls them?

In her visions, Wednesday sees that her friend Enid is the next victim, prompting a tireless investigation to catch the killer. In the midst of this, she is stalked by someone — and everything points to this person being behind the crimes.

The stalker kidnaps Enid to lure Wednesday, and when she manages to save her friend, the culprit is finally revealed: a new student who claimed to be Wednesday Addams’ number one fan. Realizing she wasn’t actually behind the murders, young Addams has to restart her investigation.

The arrival of a new music teacher shifts the spotlight. As a new suspect, Wednesday follows her to the psychiatric hospital where the Hyde is being held, only to discover the real killer was hiding there… or was it a killer?

Behind the attacks was Judi (Heather Matarazzo), the seemingly harmless assistant to Dr. Fairburn, the head psychiatrist at Willow Hill Hospital (no one saw that coming!). Judi’s father was a “normie” (a regular person) who managed to steal and acquire the powers of the outcasts; now, she seeks to continue his legacy by experimenting on more victims.

How does Wednesday Season 2 end?

As expected, the final episode of the first part ended in suspense. After discovering the true killer, chaos erupts at Willow Hill psychiatric hospital. Marilyn Thornhill (or rather, Laurel Gates) escapes and releases the Hyde, who kills everyone in his path — until he faces off against Wednesday.

They engage in a brutal fight… until she is thrown from a window at the top of the building. Her bloodied body lies motionless in the street. Will she survive? Will they be able to capture the Hyde again? We’ll find out in the next batch of episodes.

When does the second part of Wednesday Season 2 come to Netflix?

The second part of the second season will be available on the streaming platform on September 3.
